Apart from the little oasis of green around San Pedro everything else here is just scrub and desert.
This village has been eaten by the sands.

Most tracks seemed to turn into sand tracks around here. It is easy to get totally stuck once the sand gets to about 20cm thick.
Even this 4 x 4 got completely stuck in the Valley of Death. It needed to be towed out by another car and with a few of us pushing.
