Riding down the 1.2km deep Canyon de Sucra, crossing the basin which had large sand dunes and then returning up the north side during sunset.

BLOG: Mike O'Neill's 17,000kms adventure bike trip in South America. From Buenos Aires on 24/11, crossing 1,800kms of Argentina's Pampas. Then 2,000kms through Patagonia to Tierra Del Fuego. Turning north through 5000+kms of Chile, inc. 1,000kms of the Atacama Desert. Into Peru, over 5,000m Andean passes to The Lost City of the Inca's. Then down the back of the Andes for 2,000kms at 4,000m high past Lake Titicaca and along Bolivia's Altiplano, returning to Buenos Aires 9 wks later.
