Today was HOT.
We met these guys from Bahia in northern Brazil at the last fuel stop 270 kms before Antofagasta. Incredible to think they are also on a 20,000 km trip in a 1929 Ford. To be honest I am not sure a 2010 Ford would make it! He said it's all original suspension, engine the works, except the fitting of a large fan on the radiator to help with the cooling.
This chap drove at about 10 kmph. Less than running pace. We worked out it would take him about 10 days at that rate to cross the desert.
This huge hand greeted us from out of nowhere.
Mike-That picture of the hand out of nowhere-knowing your artistic traits- I would have thought you would have ventured to get that setting sun behind the hand- Perhaps you did not have time?
